Essential Functions
1. Lead, coach, and develop a team
2. Consistently demonstrate effective communication skills in all directions
3. Consistently achieve financial, sales, and set KPI goals
4. Oversee day-to-day operations of Optical office
5. Consistently model the organization's culture, ethics, and standards
6. Manage all patient concerns effectively
7. Execute all administrative tasks associated with the Store Manager position
8. Conduct training for new hires and ongoing training for existing staff
9. Oversee processing of insurance and billing for the office
10. Manage cash and daily reconciliation of monies collected
11. Ensure timely bank deposits per policy
12. Serve as the primary key holder for the location
13. Assist the Doctor with patients, including obtaining prescriptions and interpreting them to support patient needs
14. Recommend frames, lenses, and contact lenses suited to patient’s needs and style
15. Adjust and fit frames according to prescription and customer specifications
16. Perform minor repairs on eyewear
17. Educate customers on wearing and maintaining glasses
18. Prepare work orders for lens manufacturing
19. Manage prescriptions, customer records, and insurance administrative duties
Requirements
Job Specifications
Typically has the following skills or abilities:
* At least 2 years of experience in the Optical, Medical, or Retail industry
* Proficient with computers
* Effective communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
* Self-motivated with the ability to work under pressure
* Excellent customer service and sales skills
