Our Customer Delivery Driver rate of pay starts from £13.35 an hour; this increases to £14.56 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.
It is our policy to offer new colleagues a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week. If you prefer to work fewer hours, a minimum of 12 hours per week is also available.
The availability windows listed above are the times in the week we would like you to be available to work. We will schedule your contracted hours within these times, and you will receive three weeks’ notice of your exact shifts. We support flexibility and will consider applications where your preferred times closely match, but are not exactly the same as, the advertised windows.

As the face of Tesco on the road, you will deliver customer orders from our stores, meeting and talking to customers in their homes each day. Your role is about more than driving – it is about helping others, delivering great service, and spreading a smile.
Your responsibilities include:
* Ensuring the van and trays are clean, tidy, and organised.
* Keeping the back yard clean, tidying rubbish, and picking up litter as you see it.
* Washing trays as part of the tray wash process.
* Loading the van and checking it for roadworthiness.
* Communicating with customers about order changes, substitutions, and refunds for items they are unhappy with.
* Treating all products and deliveries as if they were your own.
* Explaining to customers that they will not be charged additional fees for substitutions.
* Delivering during the customer's time slot.
* Calling the customer before arriving if you arrive early.
* Calling the store centre if you are 30 minutes or more late.
* Building relationships with colleagues to create team spirit.
* Being warm and welcoming in interactions with customers and coworkers, taking time to understand the customer and say "Thank you."
* Responding quickly to the changing needs of customers and embracing change within the store.
* Sharing ideas with managers and colleagues on how to improve the store for customers.

We only recruit individuals who have passed the school leaver’s age. Candidates must be at least 18 years old if the role requires working before 6:15 am or after 9:45 pm, or involves working in areas such as warehouses, warehouses, beer, wine, spirits, counters, bakery, and driving roles.
