Intermediate Quantity Surveyor – Utilities

An established and growing utilities contractor is looking to appoint an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to take ownership of their own projects within a close-knit commercial team.
The business holds long-term contracts with leading utilities providers across the UK, delivering a steady pipeline of work and long-term stability. You’ll have commercial responsibility for your own schemes, with direct support and guidance from an experienced Commercial Director when required.
The role is primarily office-based, with travel to sites as needed.
Key Responsibilities
* Commercial ownership of utility projects from pre-contract through to final account
* Cost management, forecasting, and reporting
* Preparation and agreement of valuations and final accounts
* Managing subcontractor accounts, variations, and change control
* Commercial liaison with clients and delivery teams
Requirements
* 3–5 years’ experience in a Quantity Surveying role
* Utilities or water experience preferred
* Confident in running your own projects
* Strong commercial and communication skills
