Prospero Teaching is excited to announce an opportunity for a dedicated and passionate Secondary Art Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in the Wallasey area. Responsibilities:
* Teaching and Instruction: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging art lessons that cater to a variety of skill levels. Encourage and develop students’ creative thinking and artistic skills.
* Curriculum Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive art curriculum aligned with educational standards.
* Student Assessment: Evaluate and assess students’ progress, providing constructive feedback to enhance their skills. Maintain accurate records of student performance and development. Prepare and administer assignments, projects, and examinations.
* Classroom Management: Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters creativity and respect. Establish and enforce classroom rules and procedures to ensure a safe and productive learning space.
* Professional Development: Stay updated on current trends and best practices in art education.
* Communication: P rovide support and guidance to students in their artistic endeavours and career aspirations.
Experience, Training, and Qualifications:
* Teaching qualification with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
* Previous experience in a UK school
* Up-to-date Safeguarding training (desirable, but not essential as some training will be provided)
Eligibility Requirements:
* Right to Work in the UK
* Enhanced Child Barred List DBS certificate registered with the online update service (or willingness to process a new application)
* Two professional references
