The role of Project Worker will include:
1. Providing support to encourage our customers with mental health needs to maximise their own potential and independence
2. Supporting progress towards independence in managing positive mental health
3. Offering one-to-one support as required
4. Promoting safety by undertaking risk assessments and reviewing customers’ needs
5. Regularly assessing the needs of customers, writing, and updating support plans
6. Developing professional relationships with customers, using appropriate and clear communication to ensure their personal choice, privacy and dignity is maintained
7. Delivery of small group activities to promote recovery and well-being
Skills and experiences:
8. Previous experience of working with adults with mental health needs
9. The ability to relate and empathise with people with mental health issues
10. You may have lived experience of using mental health services and will have the knowledge and understanding to support people in crisis
11. Ability to work effectively in highly pressured situations
12. Experience with developing and maintaining accurate records and support plans
13. Basic knowledge of Microsoft packages and internet communications
14. NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or willing to work towards
