Our Hygiene team works to extremely high standards and is integral to the running of Greencore. Some of the tasks involved will be:
1. Carry out all hygiene tasks required by the hygiene rota in each respective area that has been assigned.
2. Prepare and be responsible for any cleaning equipment used to carry out hygiene duties.
3. Maintain, replenish, and be accountable for stocks of cleaning materials.
4. Be fully conversant with the operation and care of any mechanical cleaning equipment used in conjunction with your hygiene duties.
5. Be fully conversant with the safe preparation, handling, and disposal of cleaning chemicals and disinfectants used in conjunction with your hygiene duties.
6. Be fully conversant with the requirements of both the MCA and FDA with respect to Good Manufacturing Practice and hygiene standards.
7. Carry out all hygiene tasks in accordance with written approved procedures, ensuring all log book entries (when required) are completed to company standards.
8. Ensure all areas are kept clean and free of debris.
9. Some roles in the hygiene team will require you to clean and then re-assemble all removable parts of machinery and depositors in the production area.
10. Work to high standards and tight deadlines, requiring good attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
11. Effective communication skills are key, as you will work as part of a team including Hygiene Operatives, Steam Clean Operatives, and other Strip Down Operatives.
12. Handling chemicals and machinery requires a high level of awareness; therefore, a good knowledge of H&S and CoSHH is essential.
13. Maths (Entry Level 3 and above) and English (Entry Level 3 and above) are required.
14. Have all-round cleaning experience.
15. Ability to work on own initiative and manage your own time.
16. Effective communication with clients, colleagues, and management.
