As a Hydraulic Modeller, you'll play a key role in delivering innovative solutions to complex challenges, such as reducing flood risks, restoring wetlands, or addressing climate change impacts. You will be expected to develop and build hydraulic models using Tuflow and Flood Modelling, and to complete flood risk management, nutrient neutrality, and wetland restoration projects.
* Analyze and interpret hydrological and hydraulic data, including flood estimation and GIS mapping.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design and implement sustainable solutions.
* Contribute to climate change adaptation strategies by assessing potential impacts and mitigation measures.
* Prepare high-quality technical reports and presentations for clients and stakeholders.
* Develop new business opportunities with existing and new clients.
* Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in hydraulic modelling and environmental management.
* Collaborate with team members and clients to deliver innovative design solutions.
* Participate in team-building days across UK offices.
Applicants are required to have the following criteria:
* A degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, Hydrology, or a related field.
* Experience in hydraulic modelling software such as TUFLOW and Flood Modeller.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a passion for hydrology.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* An interest in flood risk management, wetland restoration, nutrient neutrality, and climate change projects.
