Physics Teacher required from September 2025 – full-time, permanent position

Teach KS4 and A-Level Physics to academically able students
An academically selective school in Reading is seeking a specialist Physics Teacher to join their high-achieving Science department. The school has a proud tradition of excellence in the sciences and offers superb facilities including separate labs for each science, access to university-level equipment, and a science research programme for sixth formers.
You will teach enthusiastic and motivated students in an environment where Physics is highly respected and uptake at A-Level is strong. Many pupils go on to study Engineering, Astrophysics, or Natural Sciences at top Russell Group universities.
This role would suit an experienced teacher or an ECT with strong subject knowledge and a commitment to excellence.
Experience and Qualifications
• Physics or Engineering degree with QTS
• Strong A-Level Physics subject knowledge essential
• High academic expectations and strong communication skills
• Passion for Physics outreach, competitions, or enrichment activities
• UK right to work
