Digital Engineering Project Lead – Major MEP Project
Location: Norfolk (with occasional travel to Cambridge & off-site facilities)
Salary: £65,000 – £75,000 + Car Allowance + Bonus + Excellent Benefits
Mech Electrics Ltd are recruiting on behalf of a Tier 1 building services contractor within the MEP and Digital Engineering environment.
We are supporting the appointment of a Digital Engineering Project Lead for a large-scale, technically complex new-build development with an MEP value of circa £80m, delivered as part of a national public-sector programme. This is a senior, project-facing role with significant responsibility for digital delivery, coordination and information management.
The Role
Reporting to the Regional Technical Director, you will lead all Digital Engineering, BIM and coordination activities, ensuring structured digital processes, technical compliance and high-quality project outcomes from design through to handover.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead digital engineering and BIM delivery on a major MEP project

Act as the primary digital point of contact for internal teams and external partners
*
Manage digital scope, programme milestones and reporting against agreed budgets
*
Oversee MEP coordination, technical compliance and clash management
*
Ensure compliance with ISO 19650 and project information management standards
*
Interface with DFMA and off-site manufacturing partners
*
Lead asset data management and digital handover, including GSL/ICS requirements
*
Work closely with design, engineering, construction and logistics teams
About You
*
Background in Digital Engineering, BIM or MEP coordination on large-scale projects
*
Strong understanding of ISO 19650, structured data and information management
*
Experience working with Tier 1 contractors or major MEP subcontractors
*
Exposure to DFMA / off-site manufacturing is desirable
*
Confident influencing stakeholders and leading coordination processes
*
Experience within justice, healthcare, defence, infrastructure or major commercial projects is advantageous
Location & Travel

Predominantly site-based in Norfolk
*
Occasional travel to Cambridge and off-site manufacturing facilities
