Provide high quality administrative support to our Children’s Services Department

The Role:
When you join us in this role you’ll provide a range of finance, systems design and administrative duties in support of the Lifelong Links work undertaken by our Safeguarding, Review and Quality Assurance team, which is part of Children’s Services. Assisting with the development of new systems and procedures to improve the efficiency of the service, you’ll take the lead on the planning and regular reporting relating to the work of Lifelong Links. Providing logistical support across different projects within the service will be another key responsibility, as will assisting in aggregating service activity information for local analysis.
You’ll have a wide range of additional responsibilities, including working with third-sector providers on the tracking and reporting of relevant data, and running reports on project-related information. We’ll also expect you to provide administrative support at meetings, take a lead on evaluating the impact of the Lifelong Links service, and make constructive use of performance reviews to enhance your own development. Some of your work will be of a sensitive nature, so you’ll be committed to carrying out your tasks with due regard to equal opportunities, the Data Protection Act and the maintenance of confidentiality and service user choice.

About You:
You’ll have well developed knowledge of working with MS Word and Excel, and good clerical experience, with a particular emphasis on finance, data analysis and reporting systems. A positive and flexible team worker with a systematic and organised approach to your tasks, you’ll be capable of developing and maintaining administrative systems relevant to different projects.
Adaptable and always open to new ideas, you’ll be an attentive listener and able to understand, record, analyse and interpret information. Capable of relating confidently and sensitively to a diverse range of people, you’ll be self-motivated, have great attention to detail and work well under pressure. In addition, we’ll expect you to have a calm, tactful and sympathetic approach when dealing with people, but also possess the ability to be assertive when appropriate.
