Pay and Hours
Tesco colleague rate of pay starts from £13.28 an hour; this increases to £14.55 for stores within the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.
We offer a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours per week to new colleagues. If you would like to work fewer hours (a minimum of 12), opportunities are available.
Responsibilities
- Serve shoppers every day and provide great natural service.
- Be passionate and knowledgeable about the products and services in the store.
- Work across the store in service, picking and replenishment areas where required.
- Apply training to work safely, effectively and serve customers brilliantly.
- Make decisions that are right for customers, delivering routines that meet their needs at the right time.
- Participate in seasonal, community and charity events, creating an inclusive atmosphere.
- Understand the store's performance, what we need to do together to drive service and sales, reduce waste and shrink, and deliver profit.
- Handle products with care to maintain quality and ensure they reach customers in the best condition.
- Live our values, be yourself, and make everyone feel welcome.
- Accept deliveries into the store when required.
