Miller & Swann Elgin have opening for a Veterinary Surgeon to join on a maternity cover basis.
You'll be joining our friendly team of veterinary surgeons, registered veterinary nurses, receptionists and administrative support; all contributing to provide the best clinical care to our patients and clients. We are an RCVS-accredited general practice in the heart of Elgin, Scotland, which is a fantastic community with great connections for those who have an appetite to explore all that Morayshire has to offer.
We offer a salary ranging up to £60,000 per annum plus benefits. For Vets relocating to the area, we can support you with a relocation allowance.
Responsibilities
* This Veterinary Surgeon opportunity is a full-time, maternity cover position; on a 4-day per week rota, including 1 night on call per week, and 1 weekend per month.
* Work with Vet Oracle, a range of digital teleservices led by veterinary specialists and referral clinicians who provide interpretations and clinical advice in medicine, radiology, cardiology, dermatology, oncology, neurology, ophthalmology, dentistry.
* Be part of a well-equipped practice with a busy, varied caseload and access to professional development in clinical and non-clinical skills including self-leadership, teamwork, wellbeing, resilience and business.

About the Practice and Location
Elgin lies on the south coast of the Moray Firth in Scotland, roughly midway between Inverness and Aberdeen. Known as the “whiskey region”, there are many local distilleries, cathedrals, and beaches nearby. Regular trains and driving routes connect you to major cities (approximately 36 miles to Inverness and 57 miles to Aberdeen). There are opportunities to explore the Cairngorms and the coast, with a variety of schools in the area.
