The Library

The Role
The school is seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Librarian to manage and develop the library provision. You will play a key role in fostering a reading culture, supporting curriculum delivery, and ensuring students have access to high-quality resources.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the day-to-day running of the school library
* Promote reading for pleasure through events, displays, and initiatives
* Support students with research and independent study
* Maintain and develop the library catalogue and resources
* Work with teaching staff to support curriculum needs
* Organise author visits, reading programmes, and literacy events
* Ensure the library remains a welcoming and inclusive environment

* Experience working in a library or educational setting
* Strong organisational and cataloguing skills
* Passion for reading and literacy development
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to engage and inspire young people
* Familiarity with library management systems (desirable)
