This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, contribute to product development from concept through to production, and play a key role in strengthening our market-leading portfolio.
The Role
As a Design Engineer, you'll be involved in the full product lifecycle—from early-stage concept development through to testing, certification, manufacturing, and installation.
Working within a collaborative technical team, you'll create high-quality designs, develop technical documentation, and provide engineering support across the business.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the full product design lifecycle, from concept and prototyping through to production launch
* Produce detailed 2D and 3D CAD designs (Autodesk Inventor/AutoCAD)
* Create and maintain manufacturing drawings and technical documentation
* Develop and manage product specifications, system parameters, and technical data
* Assist with product testing, certification, and validation processes
* Support the transition of new products into full-scale manufacturing
* Provide technical advice and problem-solving support across the business
* Ensure all documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and compliant
What We're Looking For
Essential:
* HNC/HND in Engineering or a related discipline
* Experience in a design engineering role or relevant degree-based experience
* Strong 3D CAD skills (ideally Autodesk Inventor & AutoCAD)
* Experience producing manufacturing drawings and technical documentation
* Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
* Strong teamwork and communication skills
Desirable:
* Degree in Engineering or similar
* Experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment
* Knowledge of the building, glazing, or home improvement sector
* Advanced CAD experience and familiarity with Autodesk Vault
