HGV Technician Vacancy!
1. Salary: Up to around £40,000 per annum, depending on experience
2. Hours: Week 1; 8-5. Week 2; 1-10

Our client, a commercial vehicle dealer group with sites across the region, is looking to hire a fully qualified Commercial Vehicle Technician for their busy Inverness dealership to work on heavy goods vehicles.
Reporting to the Workshop Controller and working as part of a friendly team, as a Commercial Vehicle Technician, your key objectives will include:
4. Performing major and minor repairs to either heavy goods vehicles.
5. Performing regular inspection and general preventive maintenance services.
6. Maintaining inventory in the workshop and ensuring cleanliness from oil spills and dust.
7. Working with repair teams to help diagnose and plan repairs for the vehicles.
8. Maintaining records of vehicles that have been repaired.
9. Completing relevant documentation and paperwork as required and providing warranty claims or escalating them to higher management.
10. Carry out wheel alignment and tyre fitting.
11. Complete customer documentation while working to agreed time scales.
To be eligible, you need to be qualified to IMI/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent skill level in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair, and ideally hold at least 1 to 2 years of practical experience post qualification. You will need to be a committed individual and a good team player. You must be able to produce high-quality work in a busy workshop environment and be motivated to work towards targets set for your team. Candidates with an HGV driving licence would be highly desired, but this is not essential.
