The Job
As a Claims Handler, you’ll play a key role in managing and monitoring claims, ensuring no leakage occurs and delivering exceptional service to our clients.
Key Responsibilities
* Support customers from their first notification of claim until the completion of repairs
* Ensure claims are processed in line with guidelines, current case law, and indemnity requirements
* Investigate and determine liability, preparing necessary documentation and communicating with relevant parties
* Manage the claims pipeline effectively, meeting service level agreements and reporting any delays promptly
* Identify opportunities for group services (hire, repair, etc.) while mitigating total claim costs
* Oversee hire claims to prevent any discrepancies in acceptance, duration, or vehicle type
* Coordinate with engineers, bodyshops, and internal teams to ensure timely repairs
* Maintain regular customer contact, providing updates and addressing any concerns
* Handle complaints professionally, following the established escalation process
What You Need
* Strong customer service skills and excellent communication abilities
* Basic understanding of accident insurance policies (further training will be provided)
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
* Ability to work independently while contributing to team goals
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to work well under pressure
* Proactive attitude and adaptability to changing situations
