Project Manager – Gas Transmission Network

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to deliver industrial automation and infrastructure projects on the National Gas Transmission (NGT) network.
This role involves full lifecycle management of projects from contract handover through to completion and handover, ensuring safe, on-time, and on-budget delivery. You will act as the key interface between stakeholders, customers, suppliers, and project teams, providing leadership and driving successful outcomes across complex projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan, implement, and deliver projects in line with client and NGT requirements.
* Manage safe execution of works within agreed schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
* Lead and coordinate project teams, assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
* Identify risks, implement mitigation measures, and resolve issues efficiently.
* Liaise with clients, senior management, and stakeholders to report progress.
* Ensure compliance with NEC4 contracts (Options A, C, or E) and CDM15 Principal Contractor/Designer requirements.
* Oversee documentation, reporting, and stakeholder communication throughout the project lifecycle.
Skills & Experience Required
* Proven experience as a Project Manager within the gas, utilities, or industrial automation sectors.
* Degree (or equivalent) in engineering, construction, or related discipline.
* Recognised Project Management qualification (PRINCE2, PMBOK, or PMP).
* Strong working knowledge of NEC4 contracts and CDM15 regulations.
* Familiarity with NGT policies, procedures, and specifications desirable.
* Proficient in project tools such as Primavera P6, FastDraft, and MS Office.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

* Standard working hours: Mon–Thurs 8:30am–5:00pm, Fri 8:30am–4:30pm (flexibility required).
