Finance Assistant

As a Finance Assistant, you will play a vital role within the team, managing transactional tasks in sales and purchase ledgers, cash book processing, and point-of-sale income. You will also serve as a primary point of contact for financial queries within the organisation, working closely with another Finance Assistant and reporting to the Financial Controller.
Responsibilities:
* Operate the Xero Accounts system for key ledgers.
* Process sales and purchase invoices/credit notes along with associated receipts and payments.
* Communicate with customers and suppliers to resolve queries.
* Set up customer/supplier accounts and provide aged reports as required.
* Proactively manage and process expenses.
* Process cash book transactions and reconcile the cash position to bank statements.
* Ensure processing information is efficient and meets audit standards.
* Maintain effective working relationships with other departments.
* Solve problems as they arise.
Requirements:
* Knowledge of Xero and integrated products. (desirable)
* Experience in transactional input and working in an accounts team.
* Ability to effectively handle customer and supplier queries.
* Ability to multitask
* Flexibility and willingness to work as a team to achieve priorities.
