We are seeking a talented and dedicated Physics Teacher to join our secondary school in Leeds, West Yorkshire.
This is a full-time position starting ASAP until 28th March, offering a competitive pay rate ranging from £130 to £211 per day, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering engaging and effective physics lessons, instilling a love for the subject and fostering critical thinking skills among students.
Requirements:
1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
2. Enhanced DBS clearance on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)
3. Relevant academic background with a degree in Physics or related field
4. Proven experience teaching physics at the secondary level
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
6. Ability to inspire and motivate students of diverse abilities and backgrounds
7. Commitment to fostering a positive learning environment and promoting academic excellence
8. Willingness to contribute to extracurricular activities and school events
Responsibilities:
9. Plan and deliver high-quality physics lessons in accordance with the school curriculum and departmental objectives
10. Differentiate instruction to meet the individual needs and learning styles of students
11. Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and support academic development through targeted interventions
12. Utilise a variety of instructional strategies, resources, and technology to enhance learning outcomes
13. Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and initiatives
14. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, behaviour, and academic performance
15. Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and stakeholders to support student learning and well-being
16. Participate in departmental meetings, professional development opportunities, and school-wide initiatives to promote continuous improvement
