Role Overview:
We’re looking for a Lead Engineer with strong electrical expertise to join our well-equipped workshop in Basingstoke. While your primary role will involve electrical and mechanical work on forklifts and material handling equipment, you will also play a key role in guiding other team members and contributing to the smooth operation of our workshop.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform electrical and mechanical repairs, maintenance, and servicing on forklifts and material handling equipment.
* Diagnose and resolve electrical issues efficiently.
* Ensure all completed work meets safety and quality standards.
* Assist with managing the workshop and supporting other team members.
* Occasionally travel to off-site locations for service and repair work.
What We’re Looking For:
* Strong electrical engineering experience, particularly with forklifts or similar equipment.
* Mechanical experience and qualifications are also important.
* Ability to diagnose and solve problems, especially electrical faults.
* Good communication skills and a proactive attitude.
* Willingness to mentor and support less experienced engineers.
* A valid driver’s license and your own transport (our location is rural).
* Commitment to following health and safety procedures.
* English language proficiency at a minimum B1 level (for sponsorship).
