Mears provides tailored rapid-response and planned maintenance services through partnering arrangements with more than 70 local authorities, Arm’s Length Management Organisations, and Housing Associations.
About the Role:
As a Planner, you will work in a stable and profitable contract, delivering excellent service and support through our local teams, who understand the importance of working together for the community. This contract covers Redbridge council within the social housing sector.
You will be based in our Dartford branch. Your duties will include administrative tasks, WIP management, handling calls and emails, raising repairs, planning works, ensuring operatives have a full diary of jobs daily, liaising with operatives and sub-contractors, and planning follow-up work, including re-visits to sites if needed.
Day to day duties:
* Taking calls from clients and residents
* Booking appointments into operative diaries
* Confirming materials with operatives to ensure job completion
* Reviewing emergencies to ensure they are completed by the out-of-hours team
* Ensuring operatives' diaries are booked two weeks in advance
Role Criteria:
* Previous planning experience
* Diary management experience
* Building maintenance background
* Experience working in a call centre
* Excellent customer service skills
* Ability to work under pressure and handle challenging situations
* Strong time management, planning, and organisational skills
* Proficiency with computerised systems
* Excellent written, verbal, questioning, and interpersonal skills
* Strong customer-focused approach
