Overview
The Lead Clinical Nurse Specialist will lead a specialist team within the Allergy and Clinical Immunology services, driving service innovation and ensuring high standards of patient care. Responsibilities include assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care using specialist allergy expertise, supporting nurse‑led clinics and multi‑disciplinary teams for both adult and paediatric outpatients.
Responsibilities
* Lead assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation of care using highly specialist allergy skills.
* Provide nurse‑led clinics and deliver care to adults and children in an Out‑Patient setting.
* Work with clinical teams to deliver high‑quality, clinically effective and cost‑efficient healthcare across both specialties.
* Advise and collaborate on biological treatments, venom and pollen desensitisation/immunotherapy.
* Lead the workforce of specialist nurses, ensuring professional development and high performance.
* Drive strategic review of clinical services, innovating ways of working to meet performance targets.
* Implement an integrated approach to patient care, incorporating new treatments and evidence‑based practice.
Qualifications & Experience
* Clinical experience in allergy practice and biologics, venom and pollen desensitisation/immunotherapy.
* Proven leadership and management experience of a specialist nursing workforce.
* Knowledge of national standards and best practice in allergy and clinical immunology.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills with multi‑disciplinary teams.
* Current full‑time permanent contract holder or Student visa holder with graduate visa, or having completed course and applied for graduate visa before employment start date.
