TP-Tutors is seeking a dedicated and experienced SEMH Tutor to join our growing team in Witney. If you're passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people facing social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges, we’d love to hear from you.
About the Role
As a TP-Tutor, you’ll provide 1:1 or small group support to students who may be struggling with anxiety, low self-esteem, behavioural difficulties, or other SEMH-related challenges. Your goal is to help students re-engage with their education, build confidence, and achieve meaningful progress both academically and personally.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver tailored lessons to support individual student needs
* Build positive, trusting relationships with students
* Provide ongoing feedback and adapt strategies as needed
* Liaise with parents, schools, and TP-Tutors coordinators to track progress
* Promote emotional wellbeing and resilience through your teaching approach
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) OR a minimum of 3 years' teaching/tutoring experience
* Proven experience supporting children and young people with SEMH needs
* Ability to engage hard-to-reach learners and adapt teaching methods accordingly
* Reliable, compassionate, and resilient
* A valid Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply for one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
