The salary band for this post is Band F, £30,369.00 to £32,463.00. The starting salary will be based on the salary scale, at £30,369.00.
Position
We are looking for a Part-Time (21 hours) Assistant Ecologist on a Permanent basis.

Responsibilities
* Contribute to our field survey programme, mainly in freshwater environments.
* Analyse samples, primarily benthic invertebrates, to TL2 level.
* Record field data and analytical results in laboratory information management systems.
* Assist ecologists in responding to environmental events, such as pollution incidents.
Qualifications and Skills
The role requires:
* A minimum HND or equivalent in a relevant Science field or equivalent professional experience.
* Knowledge of scientific procedures relevant to freshwater ecology, preferably including macroinvertebrates.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
