Passionate about people, you'll enjoy the scope and support to enhance your own life and career too.
Role Responsibility
The Recovery Worker role at the Manchester Short Stay Service involves jointly managing a residential project, which supports service users with severe and enduring mental health needs who have recently been discharged from hospital. The aim of the project is to support service users to make a smooth transition into living in their own accommodation.
The role involves assessing new referrals, conducting risk assessments and updating and implementing support plans, with a focus on supporting service users to move into their own accommodation.
The service is staffed Monday to Friday during office hours, though of course flexibility may be required occasionally due to the nature of the service and client group. The service also continues to operate on public holidays including over the Christmas period.
