Ocean Freight & Customs Coordinator – Salary £35K-£40K

Worldwide prestigious specialist transportation company with over three decades in the industry, handling some of the world's most luxurious and rare vehicles. We are seeking an enthusiastic Ocean Freight & Customs Coordinator to join our team in rural Suffolk, near Bury St Edmunds.
Due to the location, it is essential that you can drive here.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage import and export sea freight shipments from booking through to delivery.
* Prepare and process customs declarations for air and ocean freight.
* Liaise with shipping lines, hauliers, ports, agents, and internal teams to coordinate shipments.
* Raise and discharge T‑Forms and support bonded warehouse and customs procedures.
* Prepare and review shipping and customs documentation.
* Monitor shipment progress and proactively resolve any issues or delays.
* Provide regular updates and exceptional service to clients and stakeholders.
* Maintain accurate records across customs and operational systems.
What We’re Looking For
* Previous experience in customs clearance and freight forwarding operations.
* Strong knowledge of import/export procedures and customs regulations.
* Experience using Destin8, CNS, Sequoia and/or Freight Fax systems.
* Ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
* Excellent communication, organisation, and problem‑solving skills.
