Responsibilities
* Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation.
* Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to foster a collaborative team environment.
* Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to menu specifications and dietary requirements.
* Manage food production processes, ensuring efficiency and adherence to health and safety regulations.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment.
* Monitor inventory levels, placing orders as necessary to ensure all ingredients are available for service.
* Train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, food safety practices, and restaurant procedures.
* Collaborate with management on menu development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer feedback.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in a culinary role within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
* Strong supervisory skills with experience in team management and leadership.
* Comprehensive knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods.
* Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations is essential.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
