Overview

The F&B Sales Executive is an integral role at Montcalm Collection Mayfair. This position is responsible for converting business reactively by providing personal and consistent sales service, resulting in the achievement of the hotel profit plan and maximising revenue by driving the sale of conference and events facility spaces.


Responsibilities

* Maximise all Conference & Events revenue opportunities by reactively selling the venue to new and existing clients.
* Achieve sales targets and expand the business.
* Adhere to Montcalm Collection standards and uphold and exemplify Montcalm Hotel Service of Excellence.
* Handle reactive residential groups, events, F&B and conference enquiries in accordance with brand standards.
* Understand the competitive marketplace and implement approaches to ensure the hotel stays competitive in the local market.
* Uphold accurate and regular tracking of enquiries to convert every business opportunity, identify trends and trim the department model to drive greater efficiencies, smarter working practices and effective resource allocation.
* Support the team to ensure all event documents and paperwork are accurate and in place, including event running order, delivery schedules, staff briefing sheets, etc.
* Call potential clients, arrange show rounds and fam trips to convert enquiries to sales.
* Be present to meet and greet customers as appropriate.
* Work closely with the G&E Senior Meeting Planner, DOS and BDM for Groups and Events and take specific sales actions to convert all potential business.
* Maintain confidentiality of guest and associates’ information and pertinent hotel data.
* Manage own sales appointments and follow up professionally.
* Collect own data and provide accurate management reports to share with the management.
* Promote a good image of the hotel and the group.
* Maintain positive guest relations at all times.
* Have full product knowledge of the facilities offered.
* Work effectively to build relationships with colleagues in the hotel.
* Take a lead in controlling and tracking Event‑related Enquiries (Reactive) and RFPs, with support of the Reactive Team to distribute equally and efficiently to pitch opportunities.


Skills and Qualifications

* Sales‑minded with a desire to achieve excellent results by converting Groups, Meetings and Events business into definitive and repeat bookings.
* Proactive and able to identify new clients.
* Actively seize sales opportunities and able to quantify them.
* Take personal impact, responsibility and initiative to resolve situations.
* Approach tasks orderly, with tenacity and determination, completing work to the required standard within agreed deadlines.
* Motivated, committed and enthusiastic, seizing opportunities to learn new skills or knowledge to improve personal performance.
* Maintain high levels of professionalism in dealings with customers.
* Flexible, responding quickly and positively to changing requirements from clients or management.
* Able to work different hours or days depending on groups and events operational requirements.
* Maintain team focus by showing cooperation and support to colleagues to achieve departmental and hotel goals.
* Proficient with Opera Express, Opera Sales & Catering.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
* At least 1 year of experience in hotel‑based similar roles such as Events, Group, and Guest‑facing Services is preferred.


Working Conditions

* The role is based in the company’s London office.
* Normal working hours are Monday to Friday, 9 am – 5.30 pm; during live events and build‑up hours may vary.
* Out‑of‑hours work at events may be required.


Eligibility

Candidates must be authorised to live and work in the UK. Currently, visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
