About the Role
As a Reservations Consultant for Space Student Accommodation, you will be the first point of contact for prospective student residents. Based in our vibrant Sales Hub within Space Café on South Street, your role is to drive conversions from enquiries to completed bookings while delivering exceptional customer service.
You will act as an ambassador for the Space brand, guiding prospective residents through the booking journey with warmth, professionalism, and in-depth knowledge of the accommodation offering. In addition, you’ll support the wider Scotsman Hospitality business by handling restaurant and event enquiries, and assisting with hotel reservations for The Scotsman Collection.
Key Responsibilities
Student Accommodation Sales
1. Engage with prospective residents in person, via email, and over the phone to provide information on availability, pricing, and the booking process
2. Promote the benefits of living at Space, highlighting location, community, and value for money
3. Follow up on leads using our CRM system to maximise conversions
4. Assist students throughout the booking journey, ensuring a seamless and supportive experience
5. Encourage viewings and help coordinate with the on-site property team
6. Accurately record interactions and booking progress in StarRez CRM
Brand Representation
7. Represent the Space brand in a professional and engaging manner at all times
8. Provide a welcoming and informed presence in the Space Sales Hub
9. Support in the delivery of events, campaigns, and promotional activities as required
Scotsman Venue Support
10. Respond to restaurant and event enquiries for other Scotsman venues, delivering a consistent customer experience
11. Assist with hotel reservations across The Scotsman Collection, offering cross-promotional support where appropriate
12. Maintain strong knowledge of Scotsman venues to promote effectively
What We’re Looking For
13. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
14. Confident and personable with a natural ability to build rapport
15. Sales-driven with a focus on delivering results
16. Highly organised with strong attention to detail
17. Able to work independently and as part of a wider team
18. Comfortable using CRM systems (experience with StarRez is an advantage but not essential)
19. Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, or student accommodation is desirable
