Overview
We are looking to recruit a Locum Consultant to our Community Paediatric team in Newham for 2025. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic team within a multidisciplinary Community Child Health service in East London.
Role
Consultant Community Paediatrician (up to 10PA) with a neuro-disability focus, including weekly clinics in neurodevelopment and motor disorders. The post holder will be lead for the Developmental assessment clinic pathway.
Responsibilities
* Clinical activities: consultant clinics and related administrative work; clinical triage of referrals; clinical supervision as "Consultant of the Day" including Child protection; MDT clinical discussions or meetings; any clinical patient-related meetings.
* Teaching: contribute to departmental teaching; contribute to teaching of medical students, particularly in relation to community child health services.
* Management and leadership: clinical supervision; clinical governance; management supervision; pathway leadership.
* Audit, Quality Improvement and Service Development.
