A great opportunity has arisen for a proactive, highly organised, detail-driven and methodical Finance Assistant to join our small finance team at the Campden Charities, the well-established charity based in West London near Notting Hill Gate tube station. We are seeking to recruit someone on a full-time, permanent basis. This is an office-based role in assisting the Finance Director with daily tasks and year-end preparations. The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders, supporting a broad range of financial processes including invoice management, reconciliations and general administration. Main Duties include: Assisting with essential finance activities Various data entry into Sage 50, including nominal journals, purchase and sales invoices Assisting with processing grants Maintain purchase and sales ledgers Prepare supplier payment runs Maintain spreadsheets outside Sage Assisting with payments Assisting with year-end and audit preparations Ad hoc reporting Key requisites for candidates: At least one year of previous work experience within an accounting department Competent use of MS Office with strong Excel skills, able to create a complex spreadsheet Working knowledge of Sage 50 or similar accounting software Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy Strong understanding of accounting principles and finance processes Professional, with a strong ethical and collaborative approach to business relationships Self-motivated individual with strong organisational skills and can-do attitude Strong analytical and communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines Strong team player, accountable for own input Actively studying towards the ACCA qualification What is on offer?
