Qualifications:
3—5 years of experience planning and support in the launch of vehicle production, new factory layout development
2 years of team leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering
Work experience in the rail/aviation business, (if Rail -- preferably in heavy rail)
Firm project management skills, including developing project plans, timelines/schedules, budgets, proposed layouts, resource requirements, calculating ROI, etc.
Practical knowledge of the lean toolbox and ability to utilize lean principles to reduce waste.
A history of “hands-on” approach to problem-solving and countermeasure implementation within own areas of responsibility.
Practical knowledge, implementing new plant roll out ensuring timelines/schedules, and budgets are maintained
A history of driving projects in a very dynamic environment and completing them on time
Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering (Equivalent proven experience will be considered instead of higher degree)
3-5 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
Practical experience in driving projects in a very dynamic environment and completing on time
Practical experience using sophisticated Factory Planning Methods such as defining high[1]level manufacturing plans, identifying/analyzing new technologies
stream analysis, performing total space needs analysis, performing total capacity needs analysis, implementation planning, etc.
Practical experience transferring technical knowledge, manufacturing knowledge, and proprietary technologies from lead factories to market factories
Practical experience utilizing and implementing lean methods and tools such as 5s, 7 Types of Waste, 8-Step
