Position:
IChemE is seeking a commercially astute Marketing Consultant with strong B2B experience to support a strategic review of our training portfolio - both complimentary and paid offerings. The consultant will assess and advise on improvements to pricing, delivery methods, and promotional strategies, and may also support implementation where appropriate.

Requirements:
Our pressing business need falls into three high-priority work packages that sit at the heart of our training and development growth strategy:
* Market-aligned product & service scopingConduct a comprehensive audit of IChemE's current training products and services.Identify gaps, overlaps, and opportunities for new offerings based on sector trends and audience needs.Segment audiences (e.g., early-career professionals, technical specialists, employers) and align offerings to their expectations.Deliver a strategic roadmap with clear recommendations for product/service development, enhancement, or retirement — ensuring relevance, value, and impact.
* Market research & pricing strategyUndertake desk-based research into competitor pricing models, promotional tactics, and positioning across the professional training landscape.Analyse pricing benchmarks for both technical and personal development training.Provide a pricing framework and recommendations that balance commercial viability with member value, and support improved new customer conversion and retention.
* Training course positioning & sales narrativeDevelop a structured, thematic presentation of IChemE's training portfolio that highlights business impact and employer relevance.Create messaging and sales collateral tailored to both decision-makers (e.g., HR, L&D leads) and individual professionals.Shape a compelling pitch that positions IChemE's training as a strategic investment—essential for professional growth and organisational performance.
What you will bring:
* Proven B2B marketing experience, ideally within professional services, education, or training sectorsConfidence in proposing and executing bold, strategic changesStrong analytical and strategic thinking skillsExcellent written and visual communication abilitiesAbility to work independently and deliver high-quality outputs to tight timelines

Location: Remote / Hybrid (UK-based preferred)
Contract Type: Short-term project up to 3 months

Salary: Dependent on experience
