SDUK's brands include the Nation's favourite cheese brand Cathedral City, along with other well-known butter & spreads (Clover, Country Life, Vitalite, Utterly Butterly), functional ingredients, and dairy-free products.
Due to a secondment to focus on expanding operations at our Nuneaton site, a role has become available on a fixed-term basis to manage the materials flow into the site for core business and product pipeline.
While ensuring robust stock holding policies and minimising stock write-offs, you will utilise your MRP experience to support stock management for 10 production lines, delivering 10k tonnes of cheese across approximately 100 SKUs.
As a strong communicator, you'll work closely with internal and external stakeholders at all levels, with additional exposure to NPD projects and artwork changes.
Working pattern: M-F (on-site)
12-month fixed-term contract (FTC)
YOUR CONTRIBUTIONS WILL INCLUDE:
1. Managing stock levels and minimising material write-offs, reporting on delisting and obsolete stock.
2. Achieving 100% service level for the site and maintaining cost-effective material stock levels.
3. Supporting project delivery from a materials perspective, from Gate 0 to Gate 3.
4. Supporting material and product changes, collaborating with teams to meet project timelines and budgets.
5. Building and maintaining supplier relationships, chasing overdue POs, and resolving invoice queries.
6. Monitoring supplier performance monthly against KPIs.
IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE:
1. Experience in a materials or supply chain management role, preferably with packaging materials.
2. Logical thinker able to present findings clearly.
3. Strong communication skills to influence stakeholders on supply issues.
4. Experience in challenging and supporting supply chain processes.
5. Comfortable with MRP systems such as Excel, Oracle, SAP, or Dynamics.
