Primary Mainstream Teacher – KS2 (Year 5) - Weymouth, Dorset

GSL Education are delighted to be recruiting for a full-time Primary Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive KS2 class (Year 5) at a well-regarded primary school in Weymouth which starts from September 2025. Whether you are an Early Careers Teacher or a seasoned professional, this is a fantastic opportunity to teach in a supportive, forward-thinking environment. A school tour is available before being invited back to the school for a more formal interview process. Interviews are to take place over the next few weeks.
Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in line with the KS2 national curriculum
Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment.
Monitor, assess, and record pupils’ progress, adapting teaching methods to support individual needs.
Work collaboratively with teaching staff, support staff, and parents.
Support the social and emotional development of pupils, promoting positive behaviour and values.
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
Passion for teaching and helping pupils reach their full potential.
Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
Open to applications from Early Career Teachers (ECTs) as well as experienced educators.
A team player with a proactive and flexible attitude.
Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
