The Head Teacher of a Village School in Kendal are looking for an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join them as soon as possible on a long term basis. This is a very proud Christian School situated in beautiful grounds surrounded by hills, fields and trees. This role you will be offering whole class support in year 6 and also offer 1-1 support for a Year 6 child with SEND.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide in-class support to teachers and pupils across all years in Primary Schools
* Monitor and report on pupil progress
* Contribute to a positive, inclusive and safe learning environment
* Promote and support positive behaviour strategies across the classroom
Requirements:
* Previous experience working with Primary aged children
* Confidence supporting pupils with a range of learning needs
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
* Experience covering classes
* Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to get one)
