Apply Now About the role Balfour Beatty have an amazing opportunity for an operations Manager (scheme delivery) to join our highways DBFO team, to be working in Derby & Leeds location. The role is to cover operational scheme delivery of all clients funded projects across both the M1A1 and A50 DBFO contracts. Through Design, Build, Finance and Operate contracts we are responsible for the development and maintenance of a wide range of motorways and major trunk roads. The services provided include design, construction management and life cycle planning through to operations and maintenance. What you'll be doing As a Operations Manager some responsibilities will be: Champion BB Group policies and initiatives such as Digital, DFMA, Innovation and Customer Segmentation Lead Site delivery operations to deliver projects safely and to time, cost, quality, and sustainability targets. Lead the additional assets and client funded schemes from the mobilisation stage through construction to handover. Deliver financial performance of those projects under management including appropriate risk management to ensure that financial targets and objectives are met or exceeded. Quantify all project risk to ensure that accurate information is provided to Delivery Unit, Regional and business stream management and to enable management of any risk within agreed and acceptable boundaries. Participate in scheme development providing operational support to the project team to ensure that appropriate cognizance is taken of all safety, operational and logistical issues in compiling scheme scopes and tender proposals. Who we're looking for What we are looking for: Previous experience in project management, accountable for multiple projects (mobilisation & construction stages) Ability to participate effectively in scheme development. Experience managing teams across the multi disciplines of highways, civil. engineering and building Hold a valid CSCS card. Relevant qualifications and / or professional memberships.
