Dual Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Homes (Lancashire Area)
Full-time | Two Homes | Therapeutic EBD Provision
An established and expanding children’s residential care provider is seeking an experienced Dual Registered Manager to oversee two therapeutic homes supporting young people aged 7–17 with complex needs, trauma backgrounds, and emotional or behavioural difficulties.
This is a chance to lead two nurturing, child-centred homes and ensure they meet the highest standards of care, practice, and compliance.
The Role
You will:
* Hold Ofsted registration for two children’s homes.
* Provide strong leadership, strategic direction, and operational oversight across both sites.
* Ensure both homes deliver safe, nurturing, therapeutic environments where children feel valued and supported.
* Develop individualised care strategies and track progress and outcomes.
* Recruit, induct, and develop staff teams, fostering a culture of reflection and professional growth.
* Oversee rotas, training, supervisions, and appraisals.
* Manage budgets and resources effectively.
* Build strong working relationships with local authorities, social workers, education and health providers.
* Ensure both homes remain inspection-ready and continuously improving.
* Safeguard and promote children’s welfare in line with all legislation and policies.
About You
Essential:
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
* Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Registered Manager.
* Proven success achieving Good or Outstanding Ofsted results.
* Strong safeguarding knowledge and understanding of children’s legislation.
* Experience leading teams and managing resources.
Desirable:
* Experience managing multiple homes or services.
* Therapeutic or trauma-informed background.
* Strong multi-agency partnership skills.
