Job Type: Temp to Perm
Shift: Monday to Friday | Daytime Shifts | 2 Saturday shifts per month required | Occasional nights away (2-3 per week)
Pay: £16.00 per hour (Minimum 8 hours/day guaranteed)
✅ The Role
We're looking for a skilled and motivated Class 2 Driver & Labourer to join the team on a temp-to-perm basis. This is a varied position combining driving, customer service, and manual labour - perfect for someone who enjoys hands-on work as well as time on the road.
On the Road:
Delivering and collecting wheelie bins filled with scrap material
Transferring contents into ton bags for transit
Using a tablet to raise purchase invoices and manage routes
Delivering an excellent level of customer service at every stop
In the Yard (occasionally):
Assisting customers and grading material
Using forklifts and power tools to process and move metal
Cutting, stripping, cropping, and sorting metal
Keeping the warehouse and yard clean and organised
🔧 Requirements
Valid Class 2 Licence (Category C) with minimum 6 months' experience
Aged 25+ (insurance requirement)
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Skilled, safe, and reliable driver
Confident with manual handling, heavy lifting, and labouring tasks
Comfortable using tablets/digital platforms
Willing to stay away from home up to 2-3 nights per week
Competent with power tools (advantage)
Flexibility to work 2 Saturdays per month
