Overview
Job Summary - The post holder will be a senior point of contact for the administrative function within the clinical services and will have delegated responsibilities from the administration manager. The post holder will work as part of a multidisciplinary team and will provide support in proactively managing patient pathways, ensuring information systems are kept updated and accurate, liaising with patients and other staff, and ensuring administrative processes are safely managed and efficient.
Responsibilities
* Provide high levels of patient and clinician satisfaction by being an accessible, customer-focused and knowledgeable point of contact.
* Responsible for the collection and monitoring of data pertaining to the service and contribute to service development and projects as required.
* Facilitate and coordinate the care pathway of patients under the care of the IBD Team, including those on medical therapies.

* Essential – Experience
o Experience of using full range of IT systems and patient data systems
o Experience of using Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
o Experience of scheduling outpatient appointments and/or admissions
o Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary team
o Experience of working in a healthcare setting
* Desirable – Experience
o Experience of working in the NHS
o Experience of supervising staff
o Conflict resolution skills
o Basic knowledge of medical terminology

o Educated to A-level, or NVQ Level 4 in Business Administration/Customer Care or equivalent experience
