Futures are partnering with a leading manufacturer in their search for a Graduate Project Engineer to support the delivery of technically complex engineering projects. This role is designed for an engineering graduate who wants early responsibility, structured development and exposure to real-world engineering challenges within a fast-moving project environment.
As a Graduate Project Engineer will work closely with experienced engineers and cross-functional teams, gaining hands‑on involvement across design, validation, manufacturing and customer interaction, while developing the core skills required for a long‑term career in project engineering.
Graduate Project Engineer – Role & Responsibilities
* Support the delivery of engineering projects from customer requirements through to implementation
* Assist in translating customer needs into clear technical specifications
* Contribute to planning and tracking project timelines, cost and quality targets
* Coordinate with design, validation and manufacturing teams
* Support DFMEA activities and structured product development processes
* Communicate with internal stakeholders and customers under guidance from senior engineers
* Contribute to continuous improvement and problem‑solving activities
Graduate Project Engineer – Skills & Experience
* Degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline
* Strong understanding of core engineering principles
* Interest in project engineering, manufacturing and product development
* Comfortable working with cross‑functional teams
* Strong communication, organisation and problem‑solving skills
Proactive attitude with a desire to learn and develop
