Overview
The Transfer Manager has overall responsibility for ensuring transportation operations are completed effectively and safely, and for leading staff to deliver a high-qualityexperience for students and staff.
Responsibilities
* Coordinate transportation for weekend student arrivals and departures to ensure smooth, disruption-free operations.
* Prepare staff rotas for Airport Coordinators, considering staff availability and special requests.
* Uphold the reputation and good name of Bede’s and put the needs of the school and its students first at all times.
* Collaborate with management teams across centres and Head Office to improve efficiency and explore opportunities for transport job consolidation.
* Respond promptly to incidents or issues, maintain high standards, and anticipate potential problems.
* Manage a dynamic, fast-paced environment, including weekends with high workload and varied tasks.
Qualifications
* University degree in any discipline is preferred.
* Experience of managing staff is essential.
* Experience working in an office environment is essential.
* Experience in a language/summer school/educational/residential context would be beneficial.
* Experience dealing with international students is essential.
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, changeable and high-pressure environment.
* Strong awareness of Health & Safety, particularly relating to residential accommodation.
* Strong and demonstrable organisation skills.
* Ability to solve major issues between staff and students.
* Proficient user of Google Workspace.
* Basic office and administrative skills (telephone, typing, data entry).
* Good oral and written communication skills and excellent telephone manner.
* Knowledge of at least one foreign language is preferred.
Compensation
* £940 per week
* Statutory holiday pay is paid pro-rata with each salary payment on top of the stated weekly salary.

Working Day

You will work closely with the management team to see where transport jobs can be combined for efficiency. The day is long, varied and may be tiring, with weekends particularly busy and hectic. You will encounter interruptions from staff, students and visitors, require paperwork completion, phone calls and meetings, and must maintain high standards and promptly address incidents or issues.
