Assist the store leadership team in motivating and inspiring the team to achieve store productivity goals. Ensure the effective utilization of individual and collective skills, and foster a positive staff and customer experience. Manage store operations effectively while maintaining consistency and compliance.
What You Will Do
* Provide managerial, operational, and financial support to the General Manager.
* Drive and maximize store sales, control shrinkage, and manage payroll within budget to meet store goals.
* Implement company directives for merchandise placement, visual displays, and signage; maintain standards for cleanliness and organization.
* Ensure compliance with all company policies and safety standards to promote a safe environment.
* Demonstrate exceptional customer service.
* Support the General Manager in guiding the team to perform their duties, deliver excellent customer service, and resolve challenges effectively.
* Assist in recruiting, training, developing, and retaining qualified team members to meet staffing needs.
* Participate in team performance evaluations and counseling.
Supervisory Responsibilities
* Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and uphold the store’s reputation.
* Ensure accurate inventory management and proper organization for purchasing.
* Provide a safe and clean environment for employees and customers.
* Monitor employee performance and interactions.
* Assign tasks such as cleaning or restocking to staff.
* Communicate updates on procedures, policies, and regulations to staff.
* Create and oversee staff schedules, arranging coverage for absences.
* Educate and train staff on current and new products.
* Communicate effectively about the business at a high level.
What We Are Looking For
* Must be 21 or older.
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* 1-2 years of leadership experience in retail, customer service, hospitality, food service, or related fields.
* Ability to work various hours including mornings, nights, and weekends.
* Normal, corrective vision; ability to see color and distinguish symbols.
* Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs., with or without assistance.
* Ability to climb, push, pull, stoop, grasp, walk, sit, stand, bend, and reach during shifts.
* Manual dexterity for operating equipment.
* Normal hearing range.
