We are looking for an experienced Router Operator who has worked in a manufacturing environment.
Shift/salary:
* Pay rate on days £15.42 per hour
* Pay rate on nights £17.09 per hour
* 4 x 12 hour shifts (6pm to 6am) Monday to Thursday OR
* 4 x 12 hour shifts (6am to 6pm) Monday to Thursday
* Weekly pay.
* Temporary to permanent role.
The role:
You will work as part of an established manufacturing team and your duties will include:
* To identify materials and tooling from a job pack
* Follow design drawings and measure dimensions to ensure compliance with customer requirements
* Programme machinery and complete first off inspection
* To ensure that production requirements are met in line with the production schedule.
* To adhere to BSI standards of quality manufacturing
* Work towards the utilisation of Lean Manufacturing techniques in line with Company objectives to support the continuous improvement of the Company.
* To carry out any other relevant tasks as may be required by circumstances or are requested by the Company.
Key experience must include:
* A good understanding of routers, toolpath and de-burring components
* Experience of following design drawings
* Experience of operating and setting up CNC router machinery
* Knowledge of programming CNC router software
* Strong technical and mechanical aptitude
* Excellent organizational and coordination skills
* Ability to identify errors, defects, malfunctioning of the machinery and undertake immediate corrective actions
* ability to work with a variety of plastics (not essential)
This role would suit someone who:
* Takes pride in the work they do and can demonstrate excellent attention to detail skills
* Has extensive experience working in a hands on role
* Has knowledge of manufacturing
* Works well both in a team and independently
