Teaching Personnel are working with a specialist SEN school based in Northwich who are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated individual who is passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs in a nurturing and dynamic learning environment. About the role: Start-date: 1 st September Ongoing/long-term position, with opportunity for permanent contract Competitive daily rate The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers and other members of the support team to provide tailored support to students with a variety of additional learning needs, including but not limited to Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), speech and language difficulties, and moderate learning difficulties. Key Responsibilities: Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with SEN. Assist with the delivery of individualized education plans (IEPs). Support students with daily activities, including personal care if required. Help create and maintain an inclusive classroom environment. Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to ensure the best outcomes for students. To be considered for this role, you must have: Proven experience working in an SEN setting, ideally in a primary school environment but any environment is considered Knowledge of a range of SEN, including ASD, speech and language needs, and learning difficulties. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to working with children with diverse needs. A relevant qualification in supporting children with SEN (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.
