What you will do: Business Development: The Sales Manager will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within the UK and potentially international markets. You will proactively seek out potential customers and develop relationships with key decision-makers to promote and sell our products. Sales and Marketing: As a pivotal member of our sales team, you will collaborate closely with the marketing department to execute sales strategies, participate in trade shows, seminars, and promotional events, and contribute to the creation of marketing materials. Technical Expertise: Being well-versed in the technical aspects of our products and services is crucial. You will act as a technical consultant, understanding customer requirements and recommending the most suitable products to meet their needs. Customer Relationship Management: Cultivating strong and lasting relationships with existing clients is a priority. You will provide exceptional customer service, address inquiries, and offer technical support to ensure maximum satisfaction and foster loyalty. Disciplined usage of CRM and following up on all sales leads through to the conclusion is crucial. What you will have: Education: A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, electronic engineering, communication engineering, or industrial engineering is preferred. Equivalent qualifications in related fields will also be considered. Experience: The ideal candidate must have a proven track record in selling products and services in the Defence industry. Previous experience in one (or more) of the GPS, GNSS, PNT, RF, and Microwave Antenna Systems sectors will be highly advantageous. Technical Knowledge: Strong technical acumen and familiarity with electronic components and systems used in defense and civil applications are essential. You should be able to communicate complex technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences. Flexibility: The role requires travel within the UK and occasionally abroad to engage with clients and attend industry events. Candidates must be open to travel as needed. Communication Skills: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills are vital, as you will be engaging with stakeholders, including a diverse range of customers and team members.
