Reporting to the Street Lighting Manager, you will supervise a team of technicians and operatives, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant maintenance, installation, and repair of street lighting assets.

What You'll Be Doing

* Lead, supervise, and mentor a team of street lighting technicians and operatives, including allocating daily workloads, monitoring performance, and providing on-the-job training and development.
* Oversee planned and reactive maintenance, installation, and repair of street lighting columns, lanterns, LED upgrades, cabling, control systems, and associated assets.

* Monitor and report on team performance, key performance indicators (KPIs), inventory/material usage, and any issues affecting service delivery.
* Support the Street Lighting Manager with budget control, procurement of materials, fault investigation, and the implementation of improvement initiatives such as energy efficiency or smart lighting projects.
* Respond to emergencies and out-of-hours call‑outs as required, ensuring rapid resolution of lighting faults that impact public safety.
* Maintain accurate records, including works orders, inspections, and compliance documentation using relevant systems.
