Job Title: Engineering Project Manager
Salary: Up to £56,000 (dependent on experience) + £4,500 car allowance
Location: Reading or Swindon – with travel across sites
Type: Permanent, full-time, hybrid site/office
About the Role:
This is a fantastic opportunity for a self-motivated and skilled professional to manage end-to-end engineering projects across our client’s operational sites and estate. You’ll oversee the full project lifecycle – from scoping and tendering to construction, commissioning, and handover – ensuring the highest standards of safety, compliance, and delivery.
About the Client:

Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and deliver a portfolio of mechanical, electrical, and ICA projects, typically valued between £100,000 and £1 million each.
* Oversee multiple live projects simultaneously, from concept through to completion.
* Collaborate with operational teams and contractors to develop cost-effective, low-risk solutions.
* Maintain a zero-compromise approach to health and safety, including monthly audits.
* Ensure compliance with internal policies, industry standards, and CDM regulations.
* Lead project construction, financial forecasting, and reporting.
* Approve project documentation including risk assessments, method statements, and construction phase plans.
* Oversee commissioning, training, and handover to operations teams, ensuring all completion documents are provided.
What Our Client is Looking For:
* Background in mechanical, electrical, or civil engineering (formal qualifications preferred, e.g., BTEC/HND or equivalent experience).
* Knowledge of clean water processing and/or wastewater treatment.
* Strong stakeholder coordination skills across internal teams and external contractors.
* Ability to work independently with a proactive, solution-focused mindset.
* Understanding of health and safety requirements in construction, including CDM (training can be provided).
* Proven experience in construction or engineering project management.

* Up to £56,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
* £4,500 per annum car allowance
