We are working with a well-established and growing engineering company seeking a Qualified Lift Engineer to join their dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and customer-focused engineer to work with a supportive organisation that values technical expertise, safety, and professional development.
As a Qualified Lift Engineer, you will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance, and repair of a wide range of lift systems. You will play a key role in ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently while delivering a high standard of service to clients.
This is a Monday to Friday role (8:00am – 4:00pm), with additional paid overtime where travel or job requirements extend your working day.
You will also be required to participate in an on-call rota, working 1 weekend in every 5 weeks on a standby basis, attending callouts only when necessary.

You are a diligent, safety-conscious engineer with a strong work ethic and a commitment to delivering excellent service. You take pride in your work, communicate effectively with clients, and are confident working both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out routine servicing and preventative maintenance on lift systems
* Respond to emergency call-outs and breakdowns in a timely manner
* Diagnose faults and perform effective repairs to minimise downtime
* Complete all job reports and documentation accurately and promptly
* Maintain company vehicle, tools, and equipment in safe working condition
* Deliver excellent customer service and build strong client relationships
* Participate in the on-call rota (1 weekend in every 5 weeks)
* SOLID WORK EXPERIENCE
Requirements
* NVQ Level 3 in Lift Engineering (or equivalent)
* NVQ Level 2 candidates will also be considered but need to have equivalent experience
* Proven experience in lift servicing, maintenance, and repairs
* Strong mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic engineering background
* Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills
* Strong communication and customer-facing skills
* Full UK driving licence
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Willingness to undergo DBS and police vetting checks
Salary £33,000 – £40,000 – Depending on experience and qualifications!
