About The Role You'll play a key role in supporting the delivery of capital projects to time, cost, and specification, while ensuring health, safety, and environmental standards are maintained throughout. Working closely with the Project Manager, you'll help achieve regulatory objectives and contribute to successful project outcomes. What you’ll be doing Supporting the Project Manager in delivering asset replacement projects. Providing project support during the pre-sanction design process, including reviewing proposals for SHE management, project risks, deliverability, and safety performance. Assisting in the development, implementation, and management of projects. Managing and coordinating contractors and project teams to ensure smooth delivery. Preparing regular updates and monthly status reports covering SHE performance, milestone progress, risk management, and financial performance. Working closely with the Site Supervisor to monitor contractor performance. Actively developing your skills to achieve and maintain relevant authorisations within agreed timescales. About You You'll bring strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively. You'll have experience in project delivery and team leadership, and you'll be confident managing risk to deliver projects on time, within scope, and to budget. A proactive approach to learning and development will help you succeed in this role. Key Requirements & Experience HNC/HND level qualification (or equivalent) in mechanical or civil engineering Working towards APMP qualification and NEC 4 accreditation Basic knowledge of the NEC framework Experience in contract management within fixed price and target cost contracts Solid project management skills, including risk management for delivery to scope, time, cost, and quality Relevant experience in project delivery Strong influencing, negotiating, and communication skills Experience in control systems replacement and previous project management roles - desirable Experience in the gas construction industry, supported by recognised training or qualifications in health, safety, environmental, and financial management - desirable Full UK car driving licence Security clearance The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
